insurance

I thought we had pretty great insurance with John's work. Considering he works at a hospital, you figure that is just one of the perks of being in the medical profession. Well, it turns out to be not so good if you have neurodevelopment delays such as Luca. He has not only maxed out his yearly $ for this (including casts, splints, AFO's, therapy etc) but also his lifetime $ which is only 8,000. Boyer called me yesterday to let me know and say that we qualify for free therapy through the state. Thank goodness:) We are so thankful for Boyer and Children's Hospital for covering his medical expenses. After Luca is three years old Seattle Public School system should start covering the cost of this therapy.

  1. I'm glad Luca is covered by the state! Our health insurance plan is terribly expensive and not great.

I'm glad that sweater fits him now! Orange looks so great on him!!!

  2. I am always talking to Graham about how we should get a "discount" on medical bills since we work in hospitals....for some reason it seems like healthcare workers actually get the worst coverage-go figure! Glad Luca qualifies for state help!
