Maybe the sink? Do you guys have a garbage disposal? You could try cleaning it with lemons...that always helps with ours! Also one time I found rotting potatoes in my pantry that REALLY smelled. That's all I can think of... Thanks for sharing your wife and son with us all week!
Baking Soda!!! I dump a box down the drain and I keep open boxes in the Fridge and under the sink. We had an old salmon smell in our kitchen for a long time and the baking soda seemed to do the trick!
