Sunshine in NC

Luca and I are having a great time in NC meeting Luca's cousins here. The girls love playing and caring for him. We miss John and look forward to seeing him on Thursday. Luca did an amazing job on the airplane and slept the whole way. He didn't cry a bit.

Luca and I had a fantastic time in Mn meeting his great-grandparents, great aunts and uncles, and had some super meals. Thanks again for such a wonderful time! We love you.

We got to spend some time with Layna last week. She is too cute! Luca loves her buddy.

Alissa and Micheal

Jess, Kimi, John, Alissa, Micheal and I had a great time together in the many visit we had together this year. Alissa and Micheal are off to Toronto and will be missed dearly.

Makenzie and Lewis

Luca and I got to spend the day with Makenzie and Lewis yesterday. We had fun at Lincoln Park and Luca got to have some older siblings for the day:)

Father's Day

John celebrated his first father's day on Sunday with his son and his dad. We went to church, had a tasty pot roast lunch, and let the oldest father win the game of Catan:)

Luca is getting so big at two months, and 12 1/2 pounds. He enjoys smiling, cooing, and interacting with people and the objects around him. It is very fun to watch. (He is wearing his sailboat bib from Auntie Cindy like all the sailboats around the Puget Sound in Seattle)

Grandpa and Nana Walker

We are all feeling lucky to have Grandpa and Nana here this week and last. They have been running around with us to dr. appointments, parks, and the grocery store. Luca is smiling away and enjoying getting to know his grandparents.

Book lover

Luca got a new book from Michelle and Dan Tebbe and he loves it. I like to read to him during his tummy time. We get new casts today so we got to take the old ones off this morning and gave him a full bath. Lots of fun.

Luca is just too cute, I thought I better post some more pictures:) He is learning to smile and sleep through longer stretches of the night. He only woke up once last night at 5 am and then again at 8:45 am. John lucked out by signing up for the early morning feeding. 8:45 is not too early, we are both glad to be getting more sleep. Luca is developing a distinct schedule. He is awake, happy and alert in the morning, he sleeps all afternoon, and then is kind of fussy in the evening until you take him on a walk outside or a car ride which settles him down and then he goes to sleep for the night around 11 pm. I am sure it will all change but that is life with Luca right now

Thank you Aunt Betsy

John, I and Luca were all blessed by Betsy during the past two weeks. She cleaned, cooked, woke up at 4 or 5 am to feed, stretch, and hang out with awake Luca. We also got to go on some great walks, ate some yummy Thai food and she came with to a few hard dr. appointments at Children's. There is no way words can express what a blessing you have been to us! Thanks again for coming. Luca told me this morning how much he misses his aunt Betsy and we can't wait to see you again soon:)
