First foods and fishing

Juliette tried a little rice cereal for the first time yesterday. She didn't eat much but seemed to like it.

Kids Summer Adventure

A few weeks ago was Kids Summer Adventure. (like VBS at our church) I was in change of the preschool program and it brought be great joy to have Luca there with my dad! He had a blast and so did all the other 95 preschoolers. A huge thank you to Viv and Sharla for being his group's teacheres! They are amazing!

Eating Olives

Luca loves black olives...mostly because he can put them on his fingers and eat them. Here is the progression. All 8 olives were consumed in the same big bite. What a funny idea!

Fun with Popeye and Cozy Nana

We have been having a lot of fun with my parents! Luca doesn't stop talking or moving all day with extra attention and loads of fun. Not sure we will ever let them leave....but grateful they are here till Aug. 7th!

8 years ago, John and I got married at Bethany. Today, we went to one of our favorite restaurant Serafina, in Eastlake, our old neighborhood to celebrate our years together. It was a treat!

Playing Doctor

Luca and Juliette were playing Doctor this morning. Luca, of course, the doctor, and Juliette the patient. The kids were dressed in Red, white and blue for the 4th of July, just for fun. What else do we have to do? John is at work and we are have a 4 pm bbq, but there is a lot between waking up and 4 pm.

Naps

I had resolved the other day that Luca, like usual was not going to nap so I told him he could play in his room with the overhead light on during rest time. I went down to his room to get him and I found him, asleep, in his bed, still wearing his butterfly wings.

Juliette is almost 5 months old! Crazy how fast it is going. Layna came over to play on Sat. We made the Max and Ruby cake. Lots of fun till Layna had to go home.
