Mid week "weekend" away

John and I got to spend 3 days, 2 nights away this week at our honeymoon spot, Orcas Island. It is one of my favorite places in the world and always relaxing. We spend the night a hotel one night and camped the other. We also ate at our favorite restaurant. We hiked around Cascade lake and swam in it twice. We also watched two sunsets and saw a lot of deer. Biggest thanks to Nana for watching Luca. It was such a treat to get away into the great outdoors.

First hair cut

Luca got his first hair cut yesterday. He looks like such a little boy now. Not a baby:) He also got a package from his cousins Anne and Molly. Thanks for the beautiful art work and stickers! He loved the pictures.

Ferry ride

Luca loved the ferry ride, the Puget Sound, and the birds! I think he would have liked to jump off the boat and go for swim. Nana and Popeye took him two nights in a row. The only time he cried was when he had to leave the ferry. We sure enjoyed having you here Nana and Popeye and miss you already!

New pool and swing!

A friend of John's gave us this little one piece Seattle swimming suit. Luca looks pretty cute in it and less sunscreen to put on. He went in his swing and then into the pool. It is warm and beautiful outside, so great to have summer here now!

Progress

John and Arnold are making great process on the fireplace. They are putting the brick arch in as I type! I am so impressed with their hard work!

Luca's new rocking cow

Nana and I found this a second hand store and Luca loves it. He rocks on it and it is perfect for him. The only hard part is getting him out of it because he never seems to be all done rocking.

VBS week

Sorry for the lack of posts! It is Vacation Bible School at Bethany this week so I am there a lot and Luca is spending quality time with his grandparents Adams. They are also helping Arnold build the fireplace, and helping with VBS, and watching Luca. I will post some pictures soon. Hope you are having a great summer!

Future Mancala Champion

Luca decided to start the day with a little mancala playing. He is going to love playing that game. (Aunt Betsy we may need your playing stamina to keep up with him). He picks up the marbles and places them in the little wooden bowls. He cannot eat the marbles (in case you are worried about that)

Luca isn't feeling well

Well, Luca has his second ear infection. He had a fever and John took him in the dr. yesterday, got him medicine and took care of him all day while I was a work. What a great dad and nurse! John took this video yesterday. Today, John is at work and I am on Luca duty. He is feeling a little bit better today and currently napping, yay!
