My new book

I love my new peek a boo book from Mary Orlosky! It has Elmo in it too. I knew I liked you ever since we meet and I slept at your house my first night away from my parents so they could have a break. Your the best. Love, Luca
PS Can I get a picture of you soon to put on the blog?

Broken Camera

Our camera lens will not open so I have lots of things I want to document but can't yet... so I will try to get videos soon of Luca standing with his arms on the couch and opening a flap book all by himself. We are VERY excited about his progress.
We have been working on our new house. I have been unpacking and John has been painting up a storm. Here are some fun pictures from the last month.

I forgot pics of mexico

john and i had a great vacation!

Time with Papa Jay

We are back in Seattle. My dad flew with Luca through MN so he would see Grandma Bev and Grandpa Jim and his cousins too. John and I were right back to work so it was great to have my dad here to hang out with Luca and help him adjust to the new time zone. Luca is still up at 5:30 am but hopefully he will start sleeping later again soon.

Having fun in Mexico

John and I are having a great time in Mexico. Yes, the picture is a background we all know well and wish we were in...well we are. I will post some real pictures of our trip when we get home. We found a basic and reasonable hotel easily once we got here in a small beach town. We have been sleeping, laying in the sun, and eating yummy mexican food. A huge thanks to Nana and Papa Jay plus my family for taking care of Luca this week! I am sure he is having so much fun he won´t want to go home. Kind of reminds me of the beach in India. The prices are about the same except the exchange rate in India was 1:40 and here it is 1:14 so it is quite a bit more expensive in reality. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year.
Today is also the one year anniversary of our ultrasound with Luca. John and I reflected on what a year it has been. Full of emotions, grief, anger, exhausion, pain, happiness, relief, saddness and joy. We are looking forward to hopfully a little slower and smoother year in 2010. It is good to be here and soak in the sun and our love for each other and Luca. The Lord has been faithful.
